Professor Mark P. Jensen
Professor and Vice Chair for Research of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine University of Washington State
Professor Jensen combines cognitivebehavioral, hypnotic, and motivational approaches for management of chronic pain and its psychosocial effects and has facilitated workshops, nationally and internationally, upon these treatment approaches for more than 20 years. He is the author or co-author of more than 250 articles and book chapters. He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Pain.

Professor Amanda Barnier
Chief Investigator of Macquarie’s ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders
Amanda completed her PhD in Psychology in Sydney and gained postdoctoral experience at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research involves working with an interdisciplinary team of cognitive psychologists, philosophers and neuropsychologists at Macquarie and beyond. She maintains a strong interest in an experimental research program in hypnosis: how it works and how it can be used to understand clinical distortions of perception, memory, action and belief.
